Ski Club 2: Organizer of the 2010 European Cup Disabled

The organizing machine is already at work to organize the Finals European Cup Alpine Skiing Disables 5 - Memorial Hans Herlacher, which even in 2007 has chosen the mounts and the snowy fields of Friuli Venezia Giulia as location for its Finals.

In fact, after Udine and Trieste, now the Finals are going to reach Tolmezzo, from 11th to 14th February 2010.

Around the middle of September the International Palympic Committee, the international agency of the Paralympic Movement, entrusted the formal commission to the Ski Club Two of Monfalcone.  Immediately after the inspection of confirmation in October the organizing machine started to work: the programme consists of four days of races, parties, events and formal presentations of the meeting, even outside the region. Furthermore, teams from all over Europe are expected, including some of the best-known names of the international sports world.

All this follows the track of what has been realized by the Ski Club 2 over the past years: in fact 2010 is not the first year in which finals have been organized in Friuli Venezia Giulia under the guidance of the sports association of Monfalcone: the first meeting was the World University Games in 2003 on the mount Zoncolan, followed by the Italian Cup (2004), the European Cup (2005), the Final European Cup (2006) and the Final World Cup (2007), in which there was a parade of over 20 countries in Piazza Unità d'Italia, side events, meetings and promotional campaigns concerning physical disability.
